Teamwork!

We have been learning all about the story of wool and how it gets from the sheep to the jumper.  We made our own books to tell the story.  Here we are making our books.

Aboriginal Dreamtime Dancing

We went into the hall this afternoon to work on some movements for our dreamtime dance.  Some of us came up with some ideas of movements we could make, and we showed them to the class.  Then we got to do them all together in time to the beat.  There was a kangaroo, a crocodile, an ostrich, a wombat, an emu, a flying fox, a wallaby and a platypus.  Can you tell who is being which animal?

Measure

We are learning about measuring. We lined up in order of height to see who was the tallest and shortest.

We can measure using hand spans.

We can compare lengths

Stickmen go to Muddisdale!

Mrs Muir read us the story of Stickman by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

We then made our own stickmen in Art with Mrs Firth.

We took our stickmen to Muddisdale and took pictures of them in different places.

Most of these photographs were taken all by ourselves.

We all had great fun, and we think the stickmen did too!
Next term we will be writing our own Stickman stories about their adventures at Muddisdale.
Watch this space for some stories coming soon.

Parcel Arrives for Class Two!

We were all very excited to receive a parcel in the post yesterday. It had come all the way from Trinidad.

In the parcel was a beautiful sea turtle called Sally.
There was a water bottle, a card and some leaflets too.
